$300K falls from Brinks truck in Oak Park; several take money

OAK PARK, Ill. — Approximately $300,000 in cash was taken by at least 50 people after three bags of money fell out of a Brinks truck in Oak Park.

Police were made aware of the incident after a Brinks employee called them on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 22.

The employee said three full bags of money fell out of the truck when he was driving in the 300 block of South Austin.
