With the news over the weekend that University of Denver head coach David Carle had withdrawn his name from consideration for the head coach opening with the Chicago Blackhawks, many, like me, were left wondering the same question:
Now what?
Carle was reportedly the top candidate for the Blackhawks to fill the vacant role after firing Luke Richardson and riding out the interim time with Anders Sorensen at the helm.
With him off the board, as well as taking dream candidate Jon Cooper off the table, as The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun reported that Cooper had quietly signed a one-year extension
