Man found dead in Northbrook was victim of hit-and-run: police

NORTHBROOK, Ill. — A man was killed in a hit-and-run early Thursday morning in Northbrook.

According to police, officers responded to a call regarding a deceased man found on the roadway in the 2900 block of Shermer Road.

Authorities have confirmed the man was struck by a vehicle while on foot. The driver of the vehicle did not remain on the scene, police say.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

Mystery surrounds Des Plaines cold case investigation

Officers have secured the area and an investigation is underway.
