Despite a curious (nefarious?) 12-game delay, the No. 8 White Sox prospect is now in the big leagues

In a move that seemed needlessly delayed, blue-chip middle infield prospect Chase Meidroth has been called up to the White Sox from Triple-A Charlotte.

It’s fortunate, it seems, that it only took 10 games for the Chicago White Sox to make the move. But Meidroth sat out Thursday’s Charlotte loss, fueling speculation that his call-up was imminent. Sure
