CHICAGO — Changes could be coming to Chicago’s curfew rules, despite Mayor Brandon Johnson’s objections, in order to address the so-called teen takeovers downtown that have led to violence.

The changes, via an amended ordinance brought forward by Ald. Brian Hopkins (2nd Ward), will be debated by the City Council on Wednesday.

In March, two people where shot at two different teen takeovers in Streeterville, both happening before Chicago’s current curfew goes into effect, leaving police on standby.
