WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Democrats are sounding the alarm as they say more than 85 million Americans are uninsured or underinsured. 

More than 100 health care professionals chanted on Capitol Hill, as they joined Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in introducing his Medicare for All Act.

“Our legislation would provide comprehensive care to all Americans — rich, poor, young or old — with zero out-of-pocket expense,” Sanders said.

Sanders’ bill seeks to deliver nationwide, all-inclusive health coverage without premiums, co-pays or deductibles. It would also extend coverage to dental, vision and hearing services.
