(NEXSTAR) — More than 100 JOANN stores are preparing to close their doors for good on Monday, months after the craft retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The January filing marked the second such move in less than a year for JOANN. Initially, the Ohio-based company said it planned to close roughly 530 underperforming stores. Then, in February, the retailer announced all of its stores would shutter after the GA Joann Retail Partnership — comprised of financial services company GA Group and term lenders for JOANN — won a bidding process for the company’s assets.
