AVONDALE — Pitchfork Music Festival co-founder Mike Reed is bringing a new five-day music event to Chicago this year called Sound & Gravity.

Branded as an immersive, multi-genre musical experience, Sound & Gravity features 48 musical acts, including Bill Callahan, Mdou Moctar, Helado Negro, Mary Lattimore, Irreversible Entanglements, Jeff Parker Expansion Trio, ganavya and Tabby. There will also be surprise sets curated by Electrical Audio, the local recording studio founded by Steve Albini.
