KENDALL COUNTY, Ill. (WGN) — A North Aurora man convicted of first-degree murder in connection with a deadly gang-related shooting in 2020 will spend the rest of his life in prison, the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office announced Monday.

A Kendall County judge sentenced 31-year-old James Brown Jr. to life without the possibility of parole concerning the gang-related shooting deaths of Cassandra and Changina Chatman on Veterans Day 2020.
