‘Only in Florida’: Barefoot man helps deputies wrangle gator on side of highway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WFLA) — It’s the type of sight that you’ll rarely find anywhere else but the Sunshine State.

Drivers cruising down I-95 through Jacksonville’s Southside over the weekend might have caught a glimpse of a barefoot man, widely known as the “Blue Collar Brawler,” wrestling a huge gator on the side of the highway.

“Nope, your eyes weren’t playing tricks on you. That really happened,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post sharing a video of the action.
