Suburban woman accused of attacking 72-year-old neighbor at random, taking American flag

LAKE COUNTY, Ill. — A suburban woman is facing three battery charges after allegedly attacking her 72-year-old neighbor at random Thursday afternoon.

Lake County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 37700 block of North Delaby Road at around 3:30 p.m., located in Unincorporated Lake Villa, for a report of a battery in progress.

Kristi Tyler, 53, of the same block, was taken into custody after she was seen running on the roadway with an American flag.

Police allege that Tyler charged and attacked a 72-year-old woman, a neighbor, for no apparent reason at all.
