The White Sox are currently 7-22 to start the 2025 season, which is uninspiring. However, on the CHSN broadcast last night, they noted that the White Sox are 1-8 in one run games, something that, if improved on, would obviously add more wins to their record.
However, another way they could win more games would be if they scored runs more consistently. The White Sox have a few blowout games where they have scored 8+ runs, but besides that, they are only good for 2 or 3 runs a night, if that.
But for the White Sox, that is easier said than done, as the lineup as a whole hasn’t been performing well. Nevertheless, there is an easy fix to get one of the statistically worst hitters in the major leagues out of their lineup and replaced with someone who has more upside.
