WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – About 18 veterans die by suicide every day, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Both Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee agree that has to change.
“We’re talking about real lives,” said U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.).
