COOK COUNTY, Ill. (WGN) — A group in the county court system on Thursday graduated from a program that helps them atone for past issues with the law without putting them behind bars.
Speakers at the commencement for those in Skokie Mental Health Court, one of Cook County’s Problem-Solving Courts, emphasized that it’s never too late to start over while expressing their gratitude to the the village of judges, probation officers, attorneys and case managers that made the milestone possible.
