CHICAGO (WGN) — The death of an infant on the city’s Far South side over the weekend is now being investigated as a homicide.
According to Chicago police, just before 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, a 2-month-old boy was found unresponsive inside a residence in the 200 block of West 106th Street in Roseland.

Authorities said after family members discovered the infant, they took him to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police were notified about the incident and began a death investigation as they awaited
