National Security Advisor may move to U.N. ambassador role

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – A major shakeup is happening in the Trump administration.

The president is moving his national security advisor to a new job after a recent Signal messaging scandal.

President Trump says Mike Waltz will no longer be his national security advisor.

Instead, he says he’s nominating Waltz to be the United Nations Ambassador for the U.S.

Announcing the move on Truth Social President Trump said, “Mike Waltz has worked hard to put our nation’s interests first. I know he will do the same in his new role.”
