CHICAGO – On a weekend filled with Earth Day events, residents of the city’s North Center neighborhood had another reason to celebrate.

Revere Park got it’s first makeover in decades thanks to $400,000 in tax increment financing (TIF) funds. The park now has new tennis courts, new pickleball courts, new gates, fencing and an ADA accessible playground.

“These are the places that help make our community special. They’re these community anchors where regardless of your background, regardless of your age, you have an opportunity to come here and have a wonderful time,” Ald. Matt Martin (47th Ward) said.
