North suburb to get its first sports bar

GLENCOE, Ill. (WGN) — A first-of-its-kind is coming to north suburban Glencoe: a state-of-the-art clubhouse and restaurant that will house the city’s first-ever sports bar.

Friends of the Glencoe Golf Club announced earlier this month that the groundbreaking for the project, scheduled for Monday, May 19, marks the beginning of construction, which will replace the more than 100-year-old clubhouse.

The new clubhouse will feature a full-service, year-round restaurant, an indoor dining room with a central fireplace, an outdoor terrace with sunset views, and the first sports bar in Glencoe.
